Bonecrusher

Bonecrusher won 18 races all told, nine of them at Group One level. His eventual earnings, $2.54 million, were enormous for his time.
At four Bonecrusher ran in Australasia’s No 1 weight-for-age contest, the W.S.Cox Plate at Moonee Valley against Waverley Star.  On the home turn Bonecrusher gained a narrow lead into the short Moonee Valley straight. Waverley Star got in front 200m out. Then Bonecrusher surged to take victory in the last two strides.
In the Australia Cup at Flemington Bonecrusher at his best raced classy Northern Hemisphere-bred, At Talaq, a Melbourne Cup winner. Bonecrusher set out after him on that long straight and remorselessly closed the gap but the task still looked hopeless 100 m out. Displaying his huge will to win Bonecrusher lunged at At Talaq in the shadows of the post and won.

Xcellent

Xcellent won 6 races from his first 9 career starts, including four Group Ones - The New Zealand Derby and New Zealand Stakes at Ellerslie Racecourse, and the Mudgway Stakes and Kelt Capital Stakes at Hastings. On November 1, 2005, he ran third in the Melbourne Cup, behind three-time winner Makybe Diva.
Beginning another campaign in December 2007, he scored a stunning win first up in the Group 3 Sir James Fletcher Stakes over 1600m at Ellerslie against a strong field including the likes of Sir Slick and fellow Derby winner Wahid. He suffered his only defeat in New Zealand when finishing second to Sir Slick in the Group 1 Zabeel Classic at Ellerslie on Boxing Day. In January 2008, Xcellent won the Group 3 Trentham Stakes. However, he pulled up sore after that race, and had to be led back riderless to the birdcage. It was discovered he had damaged a tendon, and his retirement was announced the following day.
In the 2005-06 World Thoroughbred Racehorse Rankings: 1 August 2005 - 31 July 2006, Xcellent was ranked 18th by the International Federation of Horseracing Authorities. He was the New Zealand Horse of the Year in both the 2004-05 and 2005-06 seasons

Phelan Ready

Phelan Ready became just the second Queensland-trained horse to win the world's richest race for two-year-olds when the Magic Millions winner caused an upset when he took out the Golden Slipper Stakes in emphatic fashion at Rosehill.

The $150,000 purchase has now won a cool $3,248,500 from just five runs.
